Matthieu Vlaminck is a recent graduate of the National Diploma of Visual Arts at the Avignon Higher School of Art. He also have a diploma in programming/network (which helped him developing a video game) and in music (cello).
He learned by himself 2D/3D software while he was in high school and has been always fascinated about information technology and digital archaeology.
His current speciality is, aside from wearing a Star Trek badge, the preservation and restoration of 3D/CGI cinema production models. One of his work was the remastering/retexturing of the USS Titan for the cover of David Mack's book "Star Trek: Titan - Fortune of War".
As an archivist in residence, Matthieu’s projects will be about research and preservation of digital art, commercial products as part of artworks (like the maintenance/adaptation of old and obsolete commercial software/API for the sake of art preservation) and the archiving of 3D-oriented artworks.
